About Morris BBQ

The original Morris BBQ in Elgin, IL closed its doors roughly 35 years ago. It was a beloved local staple famous for its unique port sandwiches topped with coleslaw and iconic pig statues on the roof. The standard order for many was two pork sandwiches with extra slaw. Customers often recall the “pigs on the roof” and the distant Eastern style vinegary sauce that set it apart from other Midwestern BBQ at the time.
